The History of Murder tells the stories of forgotten crimes from years – and sometimes centuries – ago.
We talk to historians, authors, and experts in their field. We also use actors reading the words of
the real people involved to help bring the case to life.
But rather than just recounting the details of the murder, we also talk about the changes in society
that impacted the crime, and the way it changed the world we live in.
About the Investigators
Clare and Margaret both grew up in Chicago, IL. They are first generation Irish American, and come from long lines of curious, dedicated readers and thinkers.
They’re cousins, sort of. Margaret’s mom’s brother married Clare’s mom’s sister (did you follow that?) – so they have cousins in common. They grew up going to the same family parties, and somewhere along the way became the best of friends – and now business partners.
